It was fun and a good workout. The guys of course watched mainly to ogle the ladies. Out of all of the instructors, Bess Motta was a indeed a great motivator.

What a great post Pam. Love the pics. Some crazy outfits back then! Thank goodness fashions have changed. LOL. :)Chellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02719884981922328995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15023065.post-80888930640713065032011-09-12T15:03:20.954-04:002011-09-12T15:03:20.954-04:00Another thing to remember about the 80s fitness cr...Another thing to remember about the 80s fitness craze... for many adolescent boys of the day, this was their first wading into the shallow end of Lake Gawking-At-Girls. We couldn't get our hands on those mysterious grown-up magazines just yet, but until that glorious day, we could safely ogle the leotarded ladies of the fitness craze without raising a Mom's eyebrow.Brother Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13176233134588988372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15023065.post-32829523210960911262011-09-12T10:30:13.142-04:002011-09-12T10:30:13.142-04:00Darrin: I absolutely agree that the country needs ...Darrin: I absolutely agree that the country needs another fitness craze.

Marlene: I feel your pain. If I don't work out for a week or so, then doing the workout feels tougher. The good news is, once you get back into it and keep it regular it gets easier and easier!

Amanda: I know! You're so good with the regular workouts from what I see on your Facebook status updates. It is scary to think that what was considered "fat" back in the day is now chubby or even normal by today's standards. I love the neon workout colors as well. The hair...not so much!Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18122952408610512684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15023065.post-22974218799975540692011-09-12T10:13:59.383-04:002011-09-12T10:13:59.383-04:00I think the movie Perfect... uh... perfectly captu...I think the movie Perfect... uh... perfectly captures the 80s fitness craze.

I'm way more active now as compared to my 80s teenage years. I love working out... I don't see much in the way of a physical change, but I do feel good.

I think I said this before, but if you ever watch 70s game shows, most of the contestants are pretty thin. Now watch something like Deal or No Deal, and that's not the norm. I agree, it's a mixture of a lot of events... I hope we can find our way back to being a healthy nation... Well, we did smoke a lot more back then! :)

btw, I LOVE these pics. I seriously miss the 80s. So much color... and hair! :)Amanda By Nighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01910620012465381103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15023065.post-34153102446046546222011-09-11T21:28:15.816-04:002011-09-11T21:28:15.816-04:00This post sadly reminds me that I really have to g...This post sadly reminds me that I really have to get moving again. Went swimming the other day (first time in YEARS)....and was rather surprised that I was nearly out of breath after swimming just one length of the pool. Now I know I'm a poor swimmer - but sheesh....I shouldn't have been panting that hard. Ridiculous.Marlenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14877001080913199818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15023065.post-70401730543144502172011-09-11T18:29:48.607-04:002011-09-11T18:29:48.607-04:00Man.. Have you seen America lately Pam? I think we need another fitness craze!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12791420477284901556noreply@blogger.com
