I recall many local bands, some of which went on to become quite successful. Bands such as the Dinvinyls, the Del Fuegos, Spoons (not to be confused with the Spoons of today), Love and Rockets. It was a lot of alternative at the time which is still my favorite genre today. V66 rocked it out!Jennifer Boylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07308938997654121203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15023065.post-56172482893237326242011-10-28T21:49:31.509-04:002011-10-28T21:49:31.509-04:00I have the last couple hours of the V on VHS.I have the last couple hours of the V on VHS.59KUSTOMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09602003613372191384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15023065.post-22280063086547188822011-08-12T04:43:10.476-04:002011-08-12T04:43:10.476-04:00Cool entry and I've often wondered just how ma...Cool entry and I've often wondered just how many MTV clones there were around the country. They had some pretty great VJs and I even remember the Red Hot Chili Peppers coming in for an interview! They were told not to use the F word and Flea started screaming it!

The best thing about the station was that they took requests. I remember asking them to play "It Ain't Enough" by Corey Hart and the VJ agreed with me that he was a cutie pie and she mentioned me before they showed it.

Eventually, they started playing regular series and then it became the CW or WB... I traveled every other weekend and I heard things that maybe would filter in a month or later, if ever. For the life of me, I can't remember the name. But I do remember that they usually showed the same 12 videos over and over, and they had one vj with a strong (possibly fake) Australian accent.

My biggest memory about the show was when he said "And now here's Hazy Fantazy with John Wayne Is Big Leggy".
